ABCD is a non-profit organization founded in February, 4, 1999. ABCD aims to bring together patients of IBDs (Inflammatory Bowel Diseases) and the health professionals involved in their care in order to provide the exchange of experiences and facilitate sharing the information patients need, throughout:


- Self-help groups monitored by multidisciplinary professional teams.
- Interchange with international organizations allowing the exchange of experiences and permanent updating
- Educational leaflets
- Educational programs to IBDs’ patients
- Be representative before competent organs whenever members are disrespected in their rights.



- Special prices at laboratories, gym and language schools
- Newsletter, educational brochures and updated information about the evolution of IBD
- Monthly meeting in groups assisted by doctors, nutritionists, psychologists and other professionals
- “ABCD Em Foco” (ABCD members’ publication) every three months.
